Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-05-15
The Angel's Due is a small editorial site. The amount of visitor data collected is minimal by deliberate choice — the same restraint that informs what bottles enter the archive informs what data is asked of the people reading it.
What is collected
Aggregate analytics only. The site uses privacy-friendly aggregate analytics — no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no individual user profiles. The data recorded is limited to the URL viewed, browser type, country (not city or IP address), referring site, and approximate time. None of it is tied back to a person.
Age-gate confirmation. When a visitor confirms they are of legal drinking age, that confirmation is stored as a single flag in the browser's local storage on their own device. It is not transmitted anywhere and is cleared whenever the visitor clears their browser storage.
Affiliate click logs (when applicable). If a visitor clicks an outbound affiliate link, the click is logged with the bottle slug, source platform tag (e.g. "ig" if they arrived from Instagram), and timestamp. No personal information, IP address, or cookie is recorded. The retailer's own cookies and tracking are governed by the retailer's policy, not this one.
What is not collected
- No third-party advertising trackers.
- No email addresses unless you contact the curator directly.
- No account system — the site has no public accounts to register for.
- No selling or sharing of any visitor data with third parties.
Editorial / admin access
The administrative interface used to maintain the archive is gated by authentication and not accessible to public visitors. Anything the curator records in that interface relates to bottles, not to visitors of this site.
Third-party platform integrations
The Angel's Due connects to the following platforms for content publishing. These integrations are used exclusively by the site's curator and are not available to public visitors.
TikTok
The site uses the TikTok Content Posting API to publish video content to The Angel's Due TikTok account. Access is authorised via TikTok OAuth 2.0. The access token is stored securely server-side and used only to post content on behalf of the connected account. No TikTok user data beyond the authorised account's own profile is accessed or stored. To revoke access, visit TikTok → Settings → Security → Connected Apps, or disconnect from within the admin interface.
YouTube
The site uses the YouTube Data API v3 to publish video content to The Angel's Due YouTube channel. Access is authorised via Google OAuth 2.0. Token use is governed by the Google API Services User Data Policy. To revoke access, visit your Google Security settings or disconnect from within the admin interface.
Instagram and Facebook
The site uses the Instagram Graph API and Facebook Pages API to publish posts to The Angel's Due social accounts. A Page Access Token is stored securely server-side. No visitor data is involved. To revoke access, visit Meta → Settings → Security → Business Integrations.
Google Drive
The curator's collection tool stores the bottle archive in the curator's own Google Drive account using the drive.file scope — limited to files the application itself creates. The OAuth token is held in the browser for the duration of the session only and is not stored on any Angel's Due server. To revoke access, visit your Google Security settings.
Cookies
The Angel's Due does not set tracking cookies. The age-gate flag described above is a localStorage entry on the visitor's device, not a cookie sent to any server.
The site's hosting and security layer may set short-lived technical cookies for bot mitigation and DDoS protection. These are transient and do not identify visitors.
Your rights
Because no personal data is stored, there is no profile to access, correct, or delete. If you have arrived here looking for that — a personal record kept by The Angel's Due — there isn't one.
If you have a specific concern, please write to info@theangelsdue.com.
Changes to this policy
If the site's data practices change — for example, if a newsletter is introduced — this policy will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect the change.
